The form book certainly favours Toyota for the into-the-night race, only the second eight-hour race on the calendar after Sebring. But on the first running of the Fuji 6 Hours since 2019, Alpine was no match for the Toyota GR010 Hybrids as a 1-2 led by the Le Mans 24 Hours-winning #8 trio of Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa set up a winner-takes-all title decider. The recently completed Le Mans 24hr doesn't support that position.The Signatech-run Alpine A480 began the season in the best possible fashion with victory at Sebring, with Nicolas Lapierre, Andre Negrao and Matthieu Vaxiviere taking another maximum score at Monza to extend their advantage heading to Japan. The FIA WEC apparently believes the quality of their races worthy of an $80 US subscription. The FIA WEC should have at least credited my subscription to a new account at Velocity or MTC, but apparently they did not consider that.or did they? Both providers require a separate subscription fee for their services. Now, the most significant portion of that subscription is void because FIA WEC has elected to make a separate agreement with another broadcast provider in the US and Canada (Velocity and MTC). Subsequent to this review, I found that the US and Canada were Geo-Blocked from the Le Mans 24 hour race.I purchased a $42 full subscription from all of the races in the calendar through the Apple app. Love the racing the web interface, not so much Thankfully, my cc’s fraud protection program alerted me to the big charges from the french retailer’s website quickly. I paid for a season subscription for WEC races through FIAWEC and my credit card was immediately hacked.
